Position Information
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing inpatient program at DeTar Hospital Navarro in Victoria, Texas. This is a high-volume hospitalist opportunity in a Level III Trauma Center with strong specialty support, APP collaboration, and established inpatient infrastructure.

Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
ACLS required
BLS required

189 hospital beds
Level III Trauma designation
Annual hospitalist encounters: 27,000, averaging 74 visits per day
Average encounters per day: 18 per clinician
Day coverage: 7a–7p staffed by 2 MDs and 2 APPs
Night coverage: 7p–7a staffed by 1 MD or 1 APP
Dedicated discharge navigator APP support, 40 hours per week from 8a–5p
Open ICU with PCCM available for consults
Teleneurology used in the ED for emergent neurological consults
Specialties on staff include General/Trauma Surgery, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Obstetrics, Oncology, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Plastics, Neonatology, and Urology
