Position Information
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing inpatient program at Cuero Community Hospital in Cuero, Texas. This role offers a low-volume practice setting, strong autonomy, and a manageable daily census in a state-of-the-art acute care facility.
Qualifications
Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with hospitalist experience
ACLS required
BLS required
Position Highlights
49-bed acute care facility
Annual hospitalist encounters: 3,000, averaging 8 visits per day
Admissions per day: 2.5
Average daily census: 4 patients per day
24-hour shift structure with morning/day rounding and on-call availability until the following morning
Open ICU
Procedures not required

Patient satisfaction score reporting and accountability
