Position Information
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing inpatient program at Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, Texas. This opportunity offers a lower-volume inpatient setting with open ICU coverage, teleneurology access, and a collaborative practice environment.
Qualifications
Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with hospitalist experience
ACLS required
BLS required
Position Highlights
44-bed acute care facility
Annual hospitalist encounters: 2,500, averaging 4 visits per day
Admissions per day: 2.5
24-hour shift model with rounding during the morning/day
Admission percentage from ED: 3%
Open ICU with no intensivist
Teleneurology available 24/7
Procedures not required
Specialties not represented on staff include Infectious Disease, Oncology, Hematology, Gastroenterology, and Pulmonary
